January 2010: Christian Partnership Network "Building Effective International Ministries"

CFK sent out a call to Pastors and missions ministry leaders of churches in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area to join forces as we reach out to people in need throughout the world. Within the framework of this partnership we would like to offer churches our assistance to help start or strengthen their own international outreach efforts or for churches to join CFK, through prayer, financial support and/or time spent volunteering, in the work we are doing in Chad.

2006 Activity Highlights

November 2006: CFK's 2nd Annual Fundraiser: Benefit Concert and Mini Auction

"It all came together when the need was greatest, neither of us planned it that way, but He did. The work that CFK is doing is so inspiring. The event was edifying and moving. After watching the video of the "Children in Chains" and listening to the speaker from USAID (Robert Jenkins, OTI) and CFK expound on the opportunities for aid in failing states, how can anyone not be touched and called to action by seeing the faces of the children and adults and hearing just a brief portion of their testimony was so powerful. We can not forget or turn our back on our brothers and sisters. We are so blessed and fortunate to live in the US, we have to share what we have and give back to glorify God. My husband Gene was so moved that he was also called to action. The choir and the fellowship were awesome and the decorations were gorgeous. Everything was very professionally and tastefully done. I'll be looking forward to next year's Fundraising Gala and am looking forward to working with CFK." - B. Bryant.

May 2006: Woodstream Baptist Church Missions Conference

Sybil Clanton, Secretary of CFK's Board of Director's manned our exhibition table during the Church's Mission's Conference "Crossing Cultures for Christ". She writes: "I had the privilege to attend a mission's conference at the Woodstream Baptist Church in Mitchellsville, Maryland, as I represented the Caring for Kaela, Inc. organization on May 6, 2006. I was greeted with a warm reception and an extremely thorough staff. Continually they assisted my every need. I was able to share information, answer questions, and hand out information about CFK. I had the opportunity to sit in on two mission workshops that enlightened and motivated me about my role in missions; not to mention, eat breakfast and lunch. It was an excellent opportunity to network with various organizations and also get the CKF name out to the world. Caring for Kaela was introduced in the church sanctuary to all those who attended the conference and our name was posted in the conference events bulletin. We were invited back for future mission endeavors. They really rolled out the red carpet. I look forward to going out again and again to share, learn, spread the good news, and fulfill the vision of Caring for Kaela" - S. Clanton.
