Transformational Development

Cited by the Fund for Peace as a Failed State (2007), Chad faces tremendous governance problems that are affecting its ability to ensure that petroleum revenues translate into opportunities for the poor instead of exacerbating conflict. CFK has developed an integrated approach to transformational development and poverty reduction in Chad.Interventions address the multiple layers of the current crisis and the root causes of poverty in that country.
The need to develop self-sustainable programs is what drew the organization to look at the impact of governance on the health of the population and the well-being of children in Chad. Forging strategic coalitions has become one of CFK’s principal strategies and the reason for its rapid growth and success.
